Mine does that too, Ive learned it is normal. I hate it. Its more pronounced if the vehicle has sat for a couple or more days. It lasts for 3 or 4 seconds at the most. PM me for more info.

I'm not an expert but I had something similar, chatter from the engine at startup that sounded like lifter noise. The lifter noise I've heard was 20 years ago so my memory might be off but that was the closest comparison I could make.

For me it was bad gas. If you look in the manual it talks about having a noise issue if you arent running quality gas. I had been filling up with 91 at Cheveron and was getting this noise, only on startup, went away within 30 secs and didnt hear it again. Once I changed to Valero 91 gas I the noise never came back.

My guess is that's probably your issue, but if trying a different gas station doesnt change the situation you will definately want to take it to the dealership and have them check it out.

I'm at 800 miles and have not experienced lifter noise. My Camaro is garaged so I would defiantly notice lifter noise. You've checked the engine oil level right.

I hear it from time to time. Went away for the most part after my 810 mile oil change.
