Oh got it! No I meant that with the uncut switchblade as one piece? I wasn't expecting you to have a pre cut version for my car haha.

Thanks for clarification

I bought one like this one ebay and a local locksmith cut it for like 20$. Didnt need any kind of laser cutter and only took about 10min. I think to program it i had to put the origianl key in and turn the car on then off and then with 10 seconds put in the new key and turn on. Pretty simple and works perfect.

Is the original key you used a switchblade or a recall key?

I bought one off of ebay and was unable to program it. My dealership advised that since it was used it had been matched to another Vin and they were unable to unlock it. Since then I have contacted the company who sold it and they advised it had to be cleared before it would program again. They sent me to a third party who would flash clear it for another $10 so it could be programed.

If the replacement key fob you purchase has never been used before you can program it in providing you have a good key to begin with.

I have since bought a new GM key fob pn 13504199 , 5 button, chevy emblem on back, has remote start. The cost was $37.95 the same as what the used key would be with flash programing.

Just so everyone knows.. you don't have to pay a locksmith to cut your blade if you buy a new one. They'll cut it to match for free so long as you have one

also the recalled keys are easily fixable, I cut a pair of cutter pliers and ripped it up within a minute and put a new roll pin in the hole on the fob, so I still have two switch blade keys and now a spare with no fob.

Bump for OP.
