i was just watching a video and the guy says that you can download ur maps or driving routes to the Drivers information center if you have a phone that has gps in it.. is it really possible?? i have an iphone 3gs and it does have a GPS thats built in ... is it possible to view them on my Drivers information screen??

You can send MapQuest right to your car through Onstar, don't know about phone GPS download...

from what i understand,
you dont down load maps,
you down load directions, which translates to downloading a sequence of arrows and distances.

yep, you can go to map quest and send the route directly to your car using onstar, my wife has done it many times.

Just have to have the directions and connections package.

but other than mapquest, is it possible to sent route directions via bluetooth using a iphone ?
and the connection and direction package is standard on the 2LT models ..right?

No. But you MIGHT be able to set up your bluetooth so the voice commands from your phone comes over the car's speakers.

Yes C&C is standard on the 2LT.
