How would you build your 'perfect' 1LE?

When I ordered my 1LE I wanted it for strictly performance. I went with the 1SS, Recaro seats and NPP exhaust, and it had a MSRP of $40,740. If I was able to delete and add extra parts to my 1LE this is what I'd do. The prices I came up with are what I think the credit or additional upgrades would be.

-1SS $33,355
-1LE Package (+$3500)
-AC Delete (-$1,000)
-Stereo Delete (-$300)
-Roll up windows (-$500)
-Manual seats (-$500)
-No rear seats (-$600)
-Recaro Seats (+$2000)
-3" Exhaust (+$1500)
-LS7 (+$5000)

Total $42,455

It'd be the 'poor mans' Z28. This car would be ideal for me, but I'm very happy with what I have.

Sounds a lot like the Z28. Yeah, your build sounds good for a track only car but that is what the Z28 was built for. Ls7, Better brakes and more weight reduction, plus another 35k.

I've done a LS7 swap, but make 55-75 rwhp more than a factory Z28. Kept the a/c, radio and seats because it's my daily. I have to agree makes for a perfect street/track car.

If I could pick whatever from the GM parts bin, it would look like this.

-Z28 base
-Add AC
-Add mylink stereo
-Keep rear seat
-CTSV brakes
-Wicker

Mods
-add coilover
-add headers
-add camshaft
-hoosier tires

Show me just one person that would take a 1LE over a Z28 with AC and a radio if they were the same price or just $5000.00 more . Every 1LE buyer wanted and lusts for a Z28 .

I don't need the $15K carbon ceramic brakes all the crazy suspension the Z28s have. I essentially want a bare bones 1LE with an LS7. If they made that in the mid $40K range I'd be all over it.

Recaro's are the only option I really wish I had, and don't. Everything else is fine. An LS7 would be great, but I can get myself in plenty of trouble as-is. Maybe once the new car factor wears off, I'll change my mind

Ls7 yea I'd like that. the full airo package from the Z and no back seat ,role up window,thinner glass, I'm good. I love this car
