gas cap hook - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Last week I read some complaints about the hook for the gas cap not holding the cap out of the way during fill up. I can't find the thread, but I solved the problem for $.10. I took one of my wife's pony tail elastic bands and pulled it over the gas cap. Problem solved. Here is a pic.

cool but I haven't had any problems with mine not holding it. Now next time I gas up its gonna fall off

+1 - no problems so far - filled up yesterday and worked as-advertised.

Ive only had to put gas in my car once so far, but that one time i had no problems with the cord resting on the hook.

Cool idea! Mine's fallen off the hook only once I think, but I'm always watching it because it doesn't look like it's on the hook that well. I've got to find a ponytail holder. lol
