I drove a buddy of mine CTS-V with a automatic.. Let me tell you it will fly to be such a heavy car. The only downsides that i was told is that it is too quiet and it eats gas like nobody's business

Too quiet is like too much money or a girl too pretty! No such thing to me. Gas thing won't be too bad to me either as she will be going from an SUV.
Thank you for sharing your experiences, I appreciate it!

I drive one in my happy place...
Its an alternate universe where I own a CTS-V and I'm married to a smart model that owns her own beer factory and is fully trained in the art of Shiatsu massage. God I love that car.

cts-v is a no, but I just traded in my STS. it was not a V, and a little bigger and I loved it. Auto wiper controll, push button start, bose surround, heated cooled front seats and heated rear. awesome awesome car.navigation nothing to brag about. a true sleeper, real fast car with great ride and adjustable mag. controll was awesome. Id suggest the STS-V if anything.

I have a STS, and drove a buddies CTS-V, BOTH are SOOOOOOOO quiet, and ride like a dream. and teh V kicks a$$, IMO, its the best of both worlds, performance and comfort.

Highly recommended! Jekyll and Hyde Ride. The auto would be best for the wife, most likely. Great ride/handling trade-off, but I'd have her drive one to make sure it's not too stiff for her taste. Not much down-side, in my experience, except inclement weather driving and concerns about her overall driving skill. Brakes are unbelievably powerful and predictable. Mine has the Recaros, but make sure she tries them vs the base seats ( especially if she's... um... larger than average in the buttockitus region). The perfect trifecta: ZR1/CTS-V/Z28. If the V is too much car or money, a G8 GXP is a great value and has more front/rear/trunk volume.

I had a CTS-V for a company car. Very nice car! The car is very well balanced and the power is amazing! I am glad that I waited for the Z28 with the LSA motor! The only thing you are going to need to do if you plan on driving the car in the winter is buy a set of Snow tires. The exhaust note is a tad bit low but nothing a Corsa or Borla exhaust couldn't handle. If you buy a V also look at Wait 4 Me Performance thay have some nice bolt on's that will take the car to 605HP very quickly. Jeff
If you can swing the Recaro's do it, they are great seats! The microfiber steering wheel and shifter are awsome! |
