I have absolutely no bothersome drone at any speed but when the AFM kicks in it is horrible. I get a deep GONG noise, proceded by hollow "Fart Can" banging!
This will soon be taken care of thanks to Ted and SCT tuning! Then I will have MY perfect setup!

PM me your cell number and I'll send you a video of that exact set up. I can't upload it here cause the format isn't supported.

I have Kooks long tube headers, HFC, and the flowmaster outlaw catback exhaust. Let me tell you, IMO it is loud but it sounds so good and nasty! I'm sure it will sound similar with flowmaster headers and HFC.

Got me the Outlaw kit and I love the tone note. I very deep hummmmm when cruising, and a beast-awakened at WOT. This kit was one of the first mods I did to my car... still going strong to this day and still love it.

I'm also wearing BBK headers and JBA HFC's... with this set up I get no drone, a deep, clear exhaust note, and with the HFC's - true horsepower and torgue increase to the wheels. She's breathing through the Vararam and a BBK TB up front. A nice tune and you've got yourself something special.

Good luck with your build!

Here's what mine sounds like at about mid-throttle...

I just have the Outlaw catback, but I'm adding long tubes sometime this spring. I really like the sound of the exhaust, so I imagine it sounds great with headers.

I'm going to try and upload the video using tapatalk. If it doesn't work I'll change the format and try again. Texas Speed long tubes, no cats, Flowmaster Outlaw Catback. Oh yeah, and a cam.

I have longtube headers and hiflow cats on my LS3 with just muffler deletes. I am thinking about getting the 3inch flowmaster catback with an H-Pipe not X. How will this setup be different than my muffler deletes?

I have muffler delete right now and it gets kind of raspy at higher rpm as with the flowmaster it gives you more of that deeper rumble

The rasp is most likely caused by your H pipe.. That's pretty common.. get a true X pipe, or the resonated X pipe and the rasp should go away.
The deep rumble needs some kind of a resonator, either the resonated X or resonators on the muffler.

I have the SW Retro Catback, basically glorified straight pipes and next to my friends Camaro with the Borla Axleback, his is much deeper due to the resonating chambers.
