ARP Head bots VS studs
What's the pros and cons between the two? Are the studs really that much stronger over the bolts. Figured being both are ARP they would be very similar in strength.

Bolts are typically torque to yield and should be replaced after you run them. Studs are multi use and offer more even torquing and hold up better to high horsepower applications. both options from ARP are strong but i would always recommend a stud as its not a big $$ difference.

Neither ARP studs or bolts are torque to yield and both are reusable. Studs are the best option. The torque readings are more even and accurate. Bolts will work fine also to high hp levels so if studs aren't in the budget, I wouldn't sweat it.

You can actually Crush the cylinder head before you ever use up the strength of the ARP bolts.
Stick to the recommended torque which is well below the strength of the bolts or studs. Ted.

Well I'm on 10lbs of boost and I'm doing a 100 shot on top of it. Just trying to add some strength to the motor with ls9 gaskets and arp Head bolts.

You will be fine. I'm running 20lbs on same bolts and gaskets with no problems.

I just switched from the ARP bolts to ARP studs, The bolts I have are in great shape and I would be willing to part with them for a great price if you are interested in the bolts.

Is it hard to pull and install the heads in the engine bay with the studs?
