Wheel spacers?

Has anyone made wheel spacers for the SS model? I want to keep the factory 20's but want a "flush" fit where the wheel is aligned with the fender. The back would not be much more to get flush but the front would need a bigger wheel spacer.

Not a good idea. Wheels spacers are not good. They take away how much far the lug nuts catch on the stud. If you really want flush look for aftermarket with a lower offset to do it correctly. Good Luck

I had them on my previous ride they actually bolt up like a wheel and the spacer itself has studs, they are called hubcentric spacers. heres the link http://www.ichibausa.com/whspveii.html

well I agree with redjewel, WHEEL SPACERS ARE A BAD THING. I have been hotrodding a LONG time, IF you want different wheels on your camaro, buy them with the correct offset, otherwise, pass on them. Buy wheels that fit properly.

If you want this style and are NOT running drag radials/slicks, Eibach makes these. I do not know if they have made the 5x120 yet. They do make a 5x4.75. May want to call them to see.

The problem is I actually like the factory wheels. I have yet to see any other wheel that "FITS" the cars style( my opinon). I will consider your suggestion when factory style wheels are available in different offsets

The H&R DRA series spacers bolt on using your studs and provide new studs to attach your wheels.

This would be fine in my opinion if you are NOT drag racing the car or using slicks, I see no issues on a street car.

For instance, Porsche's use them all the time on the Turbo cars, and they make more power than a stock SS Camaro.

If you really want to stick with the factory wheels call Weldcraft. They can widen and change your wheels anyway you like.

I disagree completely. If you spend the money on a quality wheel spacer, like Eibach or H&R and install them properly, you have nothing to worry about in a street application.

Drag racing with slicks is a whole different story.

I have run H&R 25mm spacers on previous cars without a problem. The higher quality wheel spacers are also hubcentric, made specifically for that car's hub diameter. If you buy the right spacer, there is no downside unless you plan on racing.

Here's what I did to close the fender/wheel gap at the front. I purchased a pair of rear OEM rims on EBay and put them on the front with the stock 245 tires. It made a noticeable difference and now in balance with the rear. If you think you need more buy a set of OEReplica wheels 9" all the way around. The difference is the 35mm offset vs. 40mm of the stock rims which brings the wheel out another 1/5" on top of the 3/10" gained using the 9" OEM rear rims. Small numbers, big difference.

Yep - GOOD wheel spacers made of billet aluminum and using a CNC machine are fine. NEVER buy cast aluminum wheel spacers. They will eventually crack and fall apart. Most billet aluminum spacers are $150-200 a pair. Cast spacers are well below that.
