Question About Supplier Discount - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ok i ordered my car back in August and its almost here now. I originally agreed on one price with the dealer, but i just found out that i can get a supplier discount. Since i already put down a deposit towards the original price, is it still possible to get this discount if my dealer will participate, or is it too late?

Just wanted some feedback, i know either way i'm getting the $500 incentive for the 60 day opt out, but getting $1500 back because of that with the supplier would be awesome. Thoughts??

doubt they would do it. But they might..It would be like you agreeing on a price..then a few months later the dealer trying to add some more on. It's worth asking I guess.

True - though GM added on the $350 for the Parking Assist sensors to those who ordered before it was available but not built yet... door should swing both ways...

...I'm pretty sure my dealer will say something like its not an option for that car caused i've been lied to before

My dealer told me that whatever the "specials" and MSRP are when we sit down and sign the paperwork, that will be the price. I put $1000 down already, and we should be getting the Military Discount, the USAA discount, and we will take the $500 vs. 60 days options. Glad I didn't "settle" on a price, since my dealership wasn't participating in the GM Military Discount program back in August!

My wife gets a GM tier 1 supplier discount for working for the company that makes the driveshafts for the car (Rotorion North America). That being said, no dealer in the state of SC would honor that discount for the Camaro. Didn't stop me from buying mine, but we were a bit disappointed. I did get a Military discount (1500) and a USAA discount. The supplier discount would have been nice, though.

My wife also qualifies for the supplier discount, and the dealer stated that they would honor it but still has not, and they keep trying to keep our deposit out of the paperwork as well, like we didn't give one. We feel like they are holding this transaction ransom, hoping that GM will raise the price of the car or something, they won't even return our deposit if we back out.
