Fuse pull snap???
I did the #5 and #20 fuse pull and let it set for 18 hours, installed the fuses put the lid on the panel and shut the hood. I then fired it up and let it warm up for ten min. shifted into reverse and let out the clutch when BAM! It was like the wheels were frozen to the floor of my garage. no visible damage done and it runs/drives like it should I am just wondering why I seemed to have bound something in my drivetrain?

Condensation/moisture between the brake pad and rotor. A small layer of rust developes between the two making a "rust weld". Then it snaps free when you start to move. Was it damp out the night before?

Why yes it was... and that would explain alot. Any way to prevent/avoid it from happening again? Thanks for the info.

Mine made a nice snap today when I reversed out of the garage. I would have FREAKED had I not read this thread earlier. We had torrential rain yesterday and it was soaked when I parked it. The rust on the rotors makes sense. Never heard of this before, but I guess increased rotor size makes more surface area to stick.

Yah, actually if you back up just half a tire rotation and stop and look at the rotor you will see a ghost image of the brake pad. It really isn't hurting anything, no practical way to avoid it. You would have to get your brakes really warm to evaporate any moisture before you park for the night, but then they will just wear out quicker.

I did this the other day on my 2SS Automatic only took the fuse out for about an hour and notice a huge differenc in acceleration and throttle response. I wonder if it helps to do this after CAI or changes when you make mods

I get this a lot with my 4th Gen. Camaro, so it wasn't too surprising when it happened with my new one. I get brake pad freeze when I wash my car in the garage and I don't drive it until the next day. Scared the crap out of me the first time!
