When they do release the commercials for the New Camaro I wonder how they will go.

I can still remember the ones for the TransAm when they had the headlights and the engine grawling in the late 90's early 00.

+1. I can't wait! I imagine IF they have commercials, they'll have them before Indy to try to get more people interested and watching for it's unveiling.

I loved those commercials for the TA back then. They were so cool. The only commercials I saw for Camaro back then were locally made I think because they were at the local dragstrip and had Jimmy Hendrix music in the background.

I've read somewhere (camaro5 i guess) that the arketing dept wasn't planning on advertising the camaro as a muscle nor pony car.

This guy was saying something like "we will point out the fact that we have a gas saving V6 with a great looks".

At least I hope this won't end with dodge charger's style advertising ... I remember this one saying something like "... makes everyone feel like one bad dude" with a kid saying "nice car sir" to a middle age father ... That was soooo unsexy!

I agree. I want some commercials. Would love them to tie it in with the next Transformers movies somehow too.

I'm not pretending to know how the commercials will turn out (if there are any see: marketing budget cut). But just because it won't be "marketed as a Muscle Car", doesn't mean they're going to HIDE the fun factor behind a gas pump....

I'd like to see some commercials for it when it gets released in Europe. I'd like Chevy to point out that "Hey we're back in style in Europe!" I think the brand needs it, and above all someone needs to advertise their cars around here. I see way too few car commercials.

Like I said in a diffrent thread. I hope to god they don't say the phrase "American Revolution" no matter how tempting. And Please don't have it trying to board a moving semi-truck!!!

Ok, but here would be a good one in my opinion, atleast for the V8 model. Have a number of diffrent shots of the car running around the ring. From track side cameras to chase cars to a helicopter. And at the end of it just have it hauling down a straightaway past a camera and a voice saying "its back" with the relese date at the bottom of the screen.

It is very simple, and straight to the point. No acting, just preformence. Show the car in its native habbitat, at a track. Being sure to include lots of engine noise.

Oh, and no mullets! Or leather jackets!

I think the V6 should be marketed diffrently, focusing more on the looks of the car, rather than its preformence. Although the 300 hp V6 should have lots of it. Maybe a commercial about effency that talks about how much more efficent the Camaro is than its competitors.

There should be a blank black screen, then lights go on and the engine revs, then there should be a clip of tire spin, and a drag race against a honda civic, and then it should have a sound of metal being dropped on more metal and the word "CAMARO" appears.
