Need help mounting emblem on dash! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys, I have a 68 Camaro emblem I am trying to put on my dash...the problem is the 3M Mounting tape doesn't stick to well to the dash material...what could you guys recommend?

you will have to make sure there is no silicone or any other kind of protectant on the area you want to attach it. clean the area with alcohol and make sure the dash is over 65 degrees F the 3M tape should stick... I put an emblem on the dash of my HHR and it has been on for 2 years with no problems.. good luck.

Tommy, what type of 3M tape are you trying to use? they have different types. Here is what you need, and you can get it an most autoparts stores, you can see teh part number on the bottom left hand corner.

the airbag deploys at the top of the dash, no worries.

no, it IS Molding tape........It is what is used to put the emblems and body side wolding in cars.......thus MOLDING Tape. I made a dash emblem out of the header emblem and the molding tape works great. It is what is used to put fender badges on as well. Heres mine.
