I'm sure someone will chime in. But to the best of my knowledge from doing this on new vehicles in the past it will only void your exhaust warrenty from the cat converter back. If you have any other mechanical issues they have to prove that what you changed caused the other problem. Same with cold air intakes etc. Some will try to tell you that putting a cold air intake on will void your engine warrenty. But not true. Example if you put one on and some how mess your maf up in the process and try to get a new one under warrenty they will deny it because you had to change the maf out to the new intake. So you should be just fine. And as far as I know they can't void any cat converter problems either because what you will be doing is after the cat.

If all you're doing is a muffler delete then don't worry. It'll only effect your exhaust warranty.

However, depending on your state laws, you may have a bigger issue then your warranty as it's illegal in most states to do a muffler delete.

from what I understand, even with a muffler delete the resonaters are considered a type of "muffler" which even in those states should keep it legal. The decible noise should still be in the legal range.

If you have ever seen the picture on this forum of where someone cut open a stock muffler, then you will see that the stock exhaust is straight through flow. So by doing a muffler delete you aren't even changing anything as far as backpressure for GM to claim you are causing a problem with the engine.

So I agree with everyone else that a muffler delete shouldn't cause any warrany problems. I'm thinking of doing this myself. Best deal I have seen on the SLP kit is from lmperformance.com

Oh, and magnaflow also has a muffler delete kit that I have been looking at. It is like $100 more though, but it has HUGE tips. Looks pretty nice but not really worth that much more money. If you can find a good sale or coupon at autoanything.com though, you can get it for maybe only $10 more.
