How Long Does It Take From The Time GM Accepts The Order To The Dealer Receives The Order?

GM just approved my order today the 24th so i'm trying to figure out how much time i have to try and save more money up for a down payment before the dealer gets the vehicle and I have to go and pick it up.

Can anyone tell me how long it took theirs to be made once their order was approved by GM and the time it took to get to their dealership please?

I'm just having a Plain Stock Black on Black 2SS Made.

Kinda depends on their allocation. If the dealer has ready allocation it should be relatively quick...month or two. I ordered mine on 10/31 and have a TPW of 12/14. They close for the holidays so I'm not sure what that'll mean for the rail yard etc though. Might be before Xmas, might not.

If GM has accepted your order the allocation question has been answered. I have seen deliveries in as little as six weeks posted here, but my estimate would from 8 - 12 weeks. Good luck!

My order was placed at the dealer on July 2nd and delivered to me on November 16th (about 138 days) When my order was placed the dealer had 25 Camaro order ahead of mine.

Paul hit the nail on the head for you, that is really thye average time, and that is what it is, an average. some a little sooner, some a little longer. but for the most part, there is about a 4 week window of about 8-12 weeks you should expect. and NOW the waiting begins..................

I'm excited and all to get my new car but i need the extra time to try and save as much as i can in that time period to add to the money I plan on putting down on the down payment also.

once you get your TPW date expect about 2-2.5 weeks after that.

TPW = Target Production Week.

Basically it is GM's estimate as to what week your car will be built.

My TPW was Monday and my car was built on Tuesday.

It went from The Preliminary Order on 10.26.09 to Invoiced and Available to Ship in about a month. How Nice. The Dealer told me that the Factory would be taking to take off a mandotory two week coming up here in December so that'll set my arrival time back abit. oh well,...
