How does your modification accept your gas mileage?

Hello Team,

Does modifying your car (headers, exhaust, supercharger) increase or decrease your gas mileage?

I've heard and read mixed reviews. I heard putting on a supercharger will definitely decrease mileage. I've also heard that exhaust, headers, and CAI will increase gas mileage. When I put an exhaust on my Jeep, my gas mileage decreased even though maganaflow said it was supposed to increase gas mileage.

I know we all didnt purchase our babies to save gas, but I'd like to hear real data from you guys if your gas mileage is absoutlely better or worse post mods.

Cheers,

Heelhook

I think the answer is both. If you're under light load, low rom, cruising you will save gas milage vecause the engine is more efficient. If you hammer it you use more gas, all these parts do is add more air which means more gas needs to go in too. So I think everyday easy cruising you'll save a bit but if you drive with a heavy foot you won't.

Sorry if I confused things more
