LS3 Mufflers break in period
Hi All,
Quick question, do mufflers and specifically LS3 mufflers break in over time and change tone as they get miles and carbon filled in them? Seems logical but I do not know if that is true? If so, how mnay miles until they are as broken in- as they may get with respect to sound? 2000, 3000 miles, more? I know there is some steel wool like packing in them. Assume that would hold and get carboned up over time? thanks J |

Alot of people have commented on their cars getting more throaty as they break in. I am at 1400miles and no real change for me yet.

Hello!
|
I had close to 3,000 miles on mine and really never noticed a difference in tone or anything...I did the muffler delete then and finally woke the car up with sound!
