Will my bumper to bumper cover GFX?

When I bought my car I bought the extended bumper to bumper warranty since the dealer told me that any modifications to the car will only void the warranty on that part.

I went back the other day and asked for a quote on getting painted ground effects installed. They said they didn't do it and referred me to someone else.

So my question is if I have a local body shop paint the ground effects and install them will they be covered under the gm warranty?

Or even if the dealer installs them will it be covered if something happens to them?

Thanks!

unless it was factory installed or installed by the dealer BEFORE you bought it. they most likely will not cover it under your warrenty

Painting the GFX voids its warranty period. If a dealer paints it or sends it out for paint and install it then the warranty is from them, not GM.

Painting voids warranty. But the GFX can't really fail.

If anything happens to the GFX it's most likely going to be from getting busted up hitting a curb, ice, rock, etc- No coverage except under your insurance collision coverage.
