Possible wheel defect

Have had my camaro now for 3 weeks...always garaged and only driven in the rain(very light drizzle) once when I got caught outside...today while I wiping down my wheels I noticed the back wheel have several lines on the front face of the spokes (RS package)...I tried to wipe them off with my microfiber cloth with some water and they wouldn't come out. I pulled her out of the garage to inspect the wheel in sunlight and they looked light several stress cracks??? Looks like the metal had several line cracks in it before it was finished...you cant feel them but they looked like they are in/under the finish. It's only with one wheel (back drivers) so I'm thinking about taking it to the dealer to have them look at it.

Has anyone had this problem? Do you think it would be covered by any warranty? I haven't used any polisher or wheel cleaner yet in case it was a defect...didn't want the dealer telling me it was something I used.

No problems on my wheels that I've noticed. Pics would be very helpful in this case.

Post a pic and let us take a look, but this is not something I've heard before.

Well this sounds familiar. When I first got my TSX in 2007, I was living in Philadelphia. Driving around in that city, you will learn the real meaning of pot holes, Well I hit a big one, after one of the huge snow storms had been cleared by the plows. I looked at the wheel afterwards, and there was this long scratch down on the face. I thought it might be cracked too, but it has held up just fine and turned out to be just a scratch. I hope thats what you have too, please post some pics.

If you have the Midnight Silver wheels the fine cracks you are seeing might be the paint cracking and not wheel stress cracks. Either way you should have it inspected just in case it is a bad wheel.
