California Emissions vs Federal

I am looking at buying a new Camaro from Ca. that has the Ca emissions package. How does that differ in engine performance than a Federal emission package? If the car is registered in a different state, can the dealer flash a different tune in it? Thanks, Dyno

There is ZERO PERFORMANCE DIFFERENCE. No need to change anything. I just purchased my ‘24 ZL1 in Utah and registering here in CA. There is nothing to flash either way. You are good to go.

I think pretty much all cars these days are 50 state admissions. I think the days of California missions are long gone.
