Call From GM Representative on Satisfaction

I received a call from a General Motors representative tonight asking me to take a short survey on my new Camaro.

Basically, they asked how satisfied I was (completely), if I have any problems or concerns with the interior (none) molding (none) exterior (none) electrical (none) water leakage (none) drive train (none) and any annoying sounds (none).

And the last question was if a Camaro engineer could call me back (absolutely).

Anyone else receive a call from a GM representative?

I'm curious how many owners they call in order to get a valid sample size.

Thanks,
Rockies4

Yeah, I got that one from my dealer too.

This was from General Motors themselves.

So they insisted that if you weren't happy that you lie and say you were?

It's automatic getting an online survey from the dealership you bought your Camaro from.

I'm guessing that one or two of my emails went to corporate and I'm on a list.

I'll post it if I get a call from a Camaro engineer.

I think it would be really cool.

I dont understand why they would need him to tell him how to fill out a survey. I would think he is capable of doing it himself.

The guy that calls you from the dealership is worried about his job.

My original sales person left because a "difference of an opinion" and the sales manager was let go about 3 weeks after I picked up my Camaro.

I guess it's just house cleaning time and people don't want to be next, which I can understand.

I agree, Mike. I've seen this too often. How do they improve their services if they don't get honest survey answers? I've seen dealers that want you to fill out the survey in front of them, so they can address any issues right then and there. They don't want any "misunderstandings" that could prevent them from getting a perfect score.
Reminds me of schools that "teach to the test" in order to boost their state-mandated test scores.

And to the original topic, yes, I was called by someone at GM and also asked if an engineer could contact me if they had further questions.

yeah, had both. ANswered the questions honestly. Later went by the dealership for something and the salesman was crying about how I filled out the suvey. I asked why, because I didn't put anything bad. He says if you don't answer completely satisfied on everything they fail. Well, I told him what should I have done, Lie? My car was never washed, no walk through on workings of the vehicle. No explanation of anything. He said his boss said just to tell customers to bring them to the dealership and they would fill them out from now on. Boy, thats how you take a company out of the midst of total failure and bankruptcy then restore public trust. I love my car just hate the fact that most dealerships just don't get "CUSTOMER SERIVICE IS MORE THAN SELLING ME SOMETHING I CAME IN TO BUY ANYWAY"

I got the call from GM too...

As far as the email survey goes, They tell you to put completely satisfied in everything, because sometimes people fill them out and think they are giving them good marks when they put mostly satisfied, but in reality that is like saying that they did something wrong. If you are not completely satisfied with your sales rep on that survey, they get into trouble and it takes a LOT of completely satisfied surveys to make up for just 1 that is mostly satisfied.
