2015 SS RS Exhaust Rattle

I'm new to the forum and new to 5th gen Camaros so thanks in advance for your answers. I've got a 2015 2SS RS convertible with an automatic transmission and seem to have a pretty regular exhaust rattle about 2/3rd of the way back where there appears to be some kind of spring loaded valve on both pipes. Is there a fix for this? If not, should I just wire them open and which was is open so they don't block the exhaust. Thanks in advance.

Is your vehicle an automatic or manual? Reason I ask is because NPP (dual mode exhaust) was only available on manual cars and I know they tend to make a hiss/rattle sound. Easiest way to tell is if you have quad tip exhaust. Or is there an aftermarket exhaust on the car? Extra bracing in the vents make a 3in exhaust pretty tight and prone to rattling.

My 2012 SS automatic, like yours, has the spring loaded flappers. They are prone to rattling but I don’t know how to wire them open..

Scroll down to comment 9 for an easier way. Note that you can not wire them open without cutting into the wire harness and installing a switch.

However leaving them open won't get rid of the noise.

My car is an automatic. I think it has factory exhaust, but I'm not 100% sure. the spring loaded item with the square part on it is what rattles. There is no wiring to it. just the spring. The rattle is so loud, it's really stands out at idle. Everyone asks what that noise is.

I'm looking at a pic of the factory exhaust for a 2015 SS auto and I'm not seeing that part at all.

I believe only the convertibles have it, If it were me I would just cut that section out and replace it with straight pipe. I have not Researched myself to see if anyone has come up with another fix for this.

Concur.. This is what I would do as well, since there are no wires atteched to them, or vacuum hoses..
