At the risk of sounding stupid I have to ask,
how do I get my Ipod to work? I basically plugged my Ipod into the USB port in the Camaro, so now how do I get sound? ![]()

not a stupid question. When your iPod is selected as the source, it should start playing with the first song. Or you can select playlist (if you have one on the ipod) and hit play. Can you see that it selected a song to play and you just don't have sound? Or is it that it's not selecting the device, nor playing any music?

I will try this as soon as I get off work. Hopefully this fixes the problem. Thanks!

Then if it still doesn't work, I'd try to borrow someone's ipod and plug it in to the usb port to see if it shows up. My car switches to the ipod automatically when I plug the ipod in (or when I turn the car on) -- if it's already been plugged in, you are using the correct button to switch to the ipod (aux button). |

Once your iPod is plugged in, you can control it like you would if you were listening to it normally. Once you have done this the initial time, without unplugging it again, it will play through the radio anytime you select it thru the Aux button. It should also pick up where it left off each time you select it. I am using an older Nano it works fine, so you Classic should work as well. Let us know the outcome.

And like deljaso said, when your car is one and you plug the ipod in, it should default to the iPod/Aux on the radio display, and start playing. |

Not the Aux Button. You have to push the Source button. Is it PDIM or do you guys just have the AUX input jack? I have the PDIM |

Last but not least, disconnect the battery (you will need a 10mm socket to remove the negative battery cable), then wait about 10 minutes (I actually waited about an hour), then reconnect the battery.
When you get back in after connecting the battery, you will have to reset all your preferences, and re-teach the indexing for the windows (follow the directions on the display). Try your IPOD again at this point (via the source button). This worked for me... |

I made sure the radio was on, I plugged it in but the radio continued playing. It didn't recognized my ipod. So I left it plugged in and I shut off the engine and opened my door. I turned the engine back on and still nothing. ![]() ![]() I guess it ain't compatible with my Ipod. :(

Have you been using a phone ? There is a button that makes the audio muted. Do you have another dock in your home that the ipod can be tested there? Anyone else have an iPOD that you can test with your car, as stated above? Just start to elimate the problems one, by one, until you find the solution.
Check Mute Test different cable Test iPOD on dock (In home or whatnot) Test someone else's iPOD
