Has anyone driven your new Camaro in a funeral procession?

A former coworker passed away, and his funeral is Monday. I worked with him for 9 years, and organized his retirement party 12 years ago. He was 69. We've lost a number of coworkers, and we always drive to the cemetery.

My Camaro is my daily driver. OK to drive to the cemetery? I'm really concerned about it. The car is such an attention-getter. Maybe I should catch a ride with someone else? I hope at my funeral everyone drives a Camaro, but this isn't my funeral.

Afraid your car is going to steal the show from the deceased huh?

Dude. I'm pretty sure people will be pre-occupied with something a little bigger at the moment.

My father passed Dec 08, he was real big into offshore powerboats ( Cigarette Top Gun)..His had custom american flag graphics all tricked out and such and his truck had the same graphics to match the boat. For his funeral, we wanted his boat three but it was to difficult to get there so instead of him being transported in the hurst back to the burial spot they used his truck. All the Paulbearers rode in the back of the truck with the casket... It was kinda cool cause my old man always like to do things different..lol Sorry for getting off topic this thread just kinda reminded me of it.

I dont think it will really matter what you will be in..just being there is the important part.

Yeah, I just don't want anyone thinking that.

The exhaust is a bit loud.

I know several that would probably ask if they could ride with me.

Well I know you said "new" Camaro, so forgive me. My brother had been living in California and found that he had lung cancer that metastisized and was eating him up. He had moved back to Indy to spend more time with his son and family. He was wanting to take a ride in my car but somedays wasn't feeling up to it, or the weather was bad, and regretfully somedays it wasn't convienient for me. He took a sudden turn for the worse and passed away. So I acted as the hearse and delivered him to the cemetary since I never got to give him his ride. I used my checkered and green flags as they did for A.J.s victory lap at the end of the race, as my brother's "race" had ended as well.
GO for it, I'm sure your co-worked would have (will?) appreciate it!

I drove mine for my Great Grandmothers funeral. No biggy. If anyone says anything to you, just give them a weird look and tell them you are just there for the funeral, maybe they shouldn't be so concerned about what someone else is driving at that time?

I do not see a problem driving the Camaro. The fact that you are showing your respect to your friend is the main thing!!!
