370z
How would the V6 Camaro fair against the 370z?

Low 13's with a solid trap of 105+. They also handle very well... My guess is not too well...

Camaro SS > 370z > V6 Camaro
What's funny is over in the 350Z/370Z forums they argue about which car has run faster times (the 350z or 370z). So far the fastest stock time I've seen (over in the 370z forums) from a 370z is 13.1 @ 106 mph. Most the guys are running high 13s or so in stock 370z. |

Just went to the Edmunds web site. This is what they say about the 370Z
"Performance: Cranking out a robust 332 horsepower, the 3.7-liter V6 in the 2010 Nissan 370Z is a bit like the corner diner's coffee — plenty strong but just not all that refined. It delivers plenty of thrust spread out across a broad power band. Indeed, with 5.5-second 0-60-mph and 13.7-second quarter-mile times." This was the touring addition they tested. Base was over $41k! As tested $44K! Thats $7K more than my 2SS/RS for christs sake. BTW the 350Z numbers from Edmunds are "In our tests, that amounts to an impressive 0-60-mph time of 5.3 seconds and a quarter-mile in 13.7 seconds at 103.6 mph." As far as the V6 camaro goes, its pretty much 0=60 in 6.1 sec and 1/4 mile in 14.5 (as tested by car and driver magazine) So either Z is faster than the Camaro. However, it will cost you over $12K more. If ya can afford the 370Z then save a few grand and get an SS and blow those jap cars away. |

Track > 1/4 Mile

Undoubtedly the Z's will beat us, but at what price? If you're going to buy based on performance you'd be a fool to take the Z over the SS. If you're buying based on looks, well then that's a no brainier..

I used to be Dragoneye...

Unfortunately, the shoe-car is like the V6 Camaro's "Corvette"...similar power, but smaller, lighter, and missing two seats. So -- it's going to be faster, at the cost of practicality and (imo) style.

I'd take a Z over a V6 Camaro. I was actually looking at them but I wanted a four seater since I have 8 yr old twins and like to take them to meets and show with me. Prob with the Z is the four seat version looks like shit.

In nearly every respect, the 370 is closer to the SS. The only reason you would compare it to a V6 Camaro is because they're both V6 cars of a similar displacement. Otherwise it makes a lot more sense to use the SS.
