Airbag light

Has anyone had an issue with "service airbag" in DIC and an airbag light coming on? 4172 miles on my car and light just started intermittently coming on.

Would not give it another thought; back to the dealer for service.

Thank you for the welcomes!
Just wasn't real keen on taking it in esp since I was told on the phone today that they" dont have much exp yet with the new camaros and it may take a few days to troubleshoot" that with the added fact of someone tearing into the dash...

More then likely it just a connection issue at the seat or a reprogram that was just released a week or 2 ago. Probably not a big deal, but you still need to get it in and looked at. If you was closer to the Tampa area I would be happy to look at it. Hit the OnStar button and see what code set and post it here.

My wife called me and said the service airbag light had come on the day after we got the car. She came in that afternoon, I let the seat back, crawled in, and "customer couldn't demonstrate problem." It's never been seen again...

Well for vehicles built prior to December 9, 2009 there is an update program for the SDM. The TSB is 10-09-41-001A.

Angry Air Bag Light Issue

I picked mine up on February 26 and drove it 100 miles when the Service Light for the Airbag came on. I used On-Star and they confirmed there was a code coming from the computer referring to a problem. I took to the dealership the following Wednesday and they cannot seem to identify the problem. They overnighted a part which apparently did not fix the issue. Now they are getting another part to replace. They said they had to contact GM as they have not seen this problem before. Suppose to get back Monday but not holding my breath. Does not make me feel warm and fuzzy about this car right now.

Got the car back on March 8. Service Tech said that there were sensor problems that needed to be traced. Apparently this is the same system that the Corvette has. Needless to say they had to disassemble the console and replace some circuitry. Have 800 miles on now and no lights. Hope it stays that way.

6978 miles and had the check airbag message while driving tonight. I called home to check on my wife and everything was fine.

Seriously, I had the light come on tonight but feel that it's just a new car issue and will have it looked at later in the week. Still love the car....and the wife.

Air Bag light

I am having a service air bag light on my 2010 Camaro usually comes on when driving at 50km or less. All seatbelts are being used and no reason for the light to come on. Anyone know why?

I was recently on a trip. Car has app 14,000 miles on it. A passenger accidently hit the seat button and the seat slammed back real hard. Problem solved and hasn't happend again. I cancelled my dealer service appt since the problem wasn't current for them to look at. But thanks for the above post by thiggin2. I got my car may 2009.
