3rd gear release...
Does any1 have 3rd gear release way to early down the clutch??
All it takes is for me to put my foot on the clutch and push an inch down and its out... all other gears need the clutch at least half way...

Is this with the stock shifter?
If so, this is not normal, go to dealer, do not pass go. If you or someone installed an after-market shifter and this trait happened after the install. I would have another look underneath. Did the bottom boot get fully installed? It's one of the tough things to put back if you have large hands. If it is hanging it could mess-up the shifting.

Try this, drive in third gear at high rpm's. Hold a little pressure back on the shifter and now let off the gas. It will pop right out of gear, without even using the clutch. That's normal, because of the slack created in the gears just as you let off the gas. How do you think that Semi drivers shift without the clutch? They just time the shifts to the slack in the gears created when decelerating and accelerating. It is just alot easier to do in the higher gears.

mtcwby... thats soooooooo weird!! i can do it in 3rd and in 4th too... not gonna keep trying.. don't wanna hear any grinding that hurts the heart....
