Why? I have never had a switchblade key, what are the problems, or annoyances with them?

I love those keys! They're fun to whip out.

They are bulky. My Eclipse has combination fob/key. Awkward on key chain.

Try putting a spare in your wallet!!!

Can't you get a door only key for your wallet and leave a spare switchblade key inside your car?

yes. we did that for our Touareg.
the spare key is less than an 1/8" thick. and is about 2" long, and 1/2" wide at the base.

i love the switchblade keys. they are the coolest thing since sliced bread!

Oh, and im not too sure about this, but i think you "have" to have the extra switchblade key inside the car( or one of them near the car) when using the spare door key, due to the car sensing the key nearby. i dont know if you would set the alarm off without having one of them nearby when using the spare.

I was kind of hoping for, and I'm probably gonna get burned for it, but I was hoping for a push button start with some smart keys that i never have to take out of my pocket. I love this on my sisters car!

I like the switchblade style keys.

My Aveo has the Key/Fob combo, that I do dislike. But with the switchblade style, it'll be like having a seperate fob on the keychain when it's not in the ignition...
