WHEEL SENSORS

has anyone had an issue with their wheel sensors?i put 36lbs.of air in all the tires.i have 3 tire gauges that all read the same,36lbs.when i am driving the car,i check the readout on the screen and it always shows a lower pressure in the tires.is there anything i can do to get the sensors to read the correct pressure?

What pressure does the car show?

You do understand that tire pressure varies depending on temperature, right?

I have also noticed that they are not always accurate.

the car will show like 34lbs.in three tires and maby 32 in another.but the readings will be different at different times.and the tires are hot.if anything the pressure should show higher.

I'd trust your tire gauges then, and disregard the cheesy GM sensor system. To answer your question, no there isn't a way to reset or recalibrate the sensors themselves. The only method is to take another chance and replace them with new sensors.

Waste of time. Gauges work better. Rely on the sensors to tell you when you have a really low pressure, they will set off a error message on the info screen if they get too low.

So is it the luck of the draw?

Mine are accurate. Last time I put air in them, I had my son sit in the car and tell me what the readings were and had all of the car sensors say 36, drove around the block to bump them around a bit, set them to 36 again and then checked with a gauge. all read pretty much right at 36.
