How much does it cost to get the GFX painted?

My dealer said it would cost 1200$ to get the GFX painted to match my IBM. The price seems kind of high....

My friend is trying to convince me to do it myself since he has the sprayer stuff needed and says he knows how to do it... but I am hesitant to do it that way. I was thinking of taking it to a body shop and see if they charge less than 1200$...

That price seems about right to me, from the GFX on my previous car.

You would paint the GFX on such a beautiful beast.....I like the molded gray cause it won't chip or crack.

That's a good looking car you have there....where have I seen that before.

Hahahaha a twin!!! Yea, I love the color, SEXY.

My friend was actually just today trying to convince me to leave the GFX the way it is, just for that very reason, and it makes sense too.... I actaully dont mind the molded gray, just figured the IBM on the GFX would make it look more... whole.

I think I am going to leave it the molded gray for now, see how it grows on me, I can always opt to paint it in the future... hard to revert back if I decided it was a mistake.

I got mine painted to match(no recent pictures)it cost me 637.00

When i bought my car they quoted me $800 but when they painted it they said only cost $600 to do.Good deal for me.

I got mine painted for $550.00 and had a quote at another Chevy dealership for $500.00, so your price seems very high.

i went to maaco to get a price for IOM. they wanted 900. Since I work for napa i got Martin Senior paint and dropped it off at a vo tech shop and let them paint mine.

Wow,

All of you guys paid a ton of money. I did a little negotiating and had mine painted to match for $350. No joke!!! My dealerships 1st quote was $600, then $500, then $400, then what I wanted, which was $350 !!!!

You could get an entire car paint job for $1200, not just the GFX.

They did an awesome job, no shortcuts!! Look at the pics!!
