I have a 2010 Camaro 2SS and I have to replace my exhaust system because of a bad baffle. Gm will replace it at no cost. I was thinking of getting their Catbacks model # 92206992. They told me they would do it but basicly I would have to pay for it. The price they gave me was very high and I was looking on gmpartsdirect.com and the price was very low compared to what they gave me. I figure I would ask on here first but do you think I can order from here and send it to them for them to put it on? Also one more question has ANYONE got their catback and anyone have a video out there so I can hear it?? Please help me on this. Thanks...

I am confused. So your stock exhaust has a bad baffle..and the dealer will replace it for free (parts+labor). However if you want the GM performance exhaust..you have to pay for the exhaust, but they will install it for free? If that's the case..labor to install a catback is maybe 30 minutes...thats not really some big token on their part. Just buy the aftermarket catback you want and be done with it. As for parts costs, most dealers don't have the volume GMPartsDirect has, so their price will be higher. For whatever it costs you likely could just put a nice aftermarket exhaust on it like Borla, Corsa, MBRP, or Magnaflow.

CAT BACK
Quote:
I went with the MBRP 3inch T304 polished stainless on my SS/RS M6 LS3. They offer different systems for either man or auto transmission, square tips(ground effects) or round tips, even T409 stainless (less expensive) Mine sounds great, loud but not obnoxious. You can check you tube for some good sound clips! Good Luck |
