Question HID stopped working

So, I posted a couple weeks ago when the piece of wood on the freeway cracked my lens. So I got a new turn signal bulb in, ordered a new assembly (non-HID because the HID was working when I ordered) but now the HID has stopped working, I'm assuming due to dirt or water getting into the cracked lens. I tested a few things, it's not fuses or the bulb. And the halo and turn signals STILL WORK. Soooo, any ideas?

Insurance claim? Unless you have a high deductible that is more than the replacement cost of the HID headlight assembly.

Yeah, I'm starting to think that may be the route but I'm already $150 deep with the new bulb and essembly

If it is cracked, water can get in and destroy the ballast in the bottom of the lamp. You can try swapping parts between the right and left lamp and figure out if the ballast or the bulb is bad.

Either way, why would you order a non-hid lamp? Or does the dealer sell it without the HD installed?
