Oh why did I test drive a 2010 SS....

Ended up test driving a damn 1SS manual......and I loved it. What a huge improvement over my last Camaro ('00 Z28). Yeah this one still feels kinda big but not boaty like the '00. Plus MUCH nicer ride, power, seats....you name it. A little throatier exhaust is about all the car needs IMO.

But....I really am not supposed to buy one since the back seat seems pretty tight for my 2 dogs that I routinely shuttle around to the beach..etc. And I'd have to park it on the street...only a 1 car garage do I have (2 sportbikes in there....no room for much else).

Charger SRT-8 is what I'm "supposed" to be looking at it b/c of bigger back seat, 4 doors.....much easier for dogs. But no manual and extra weight are sort of a turn-off.....would have to buy used as well b/c of price.

But damn the 1SS was nice! If I could find a stripped base 1SS with no options for around $30K.....that's all I need...would be tempting....hmmm

Got my 1SS for $30,500 before TTL, so you may find one. Most delearships have excess inventory on the lots and are ready to deal. Good luck!

We just take our dogs to places a lot.....trails, dog beaches....they love it. My g/f has a G35 and no way in hell she's gonna put them in there. I've always had them in my cars. So that just is the situation. I'd like to pull off the Camaro but it may be just too one dimensional......we're just dog people and take them places. Only way to pull it off is to have 2nd vehicle for this. But I really don't want to have multiple cars to insure/register...etc. Especially since just registering a car in CA is a rip-off. Rather just have one car that does it all. Especially since I often commute by mcycle. Probably will end up being SRT-8 Charger or Jeep SRT-8........or maybe I can just take my dogs to the shelter.......ok....bad joke.

What kind of dogs? My two Rottweilers are a little cramped in the Camaro's back seat, but they don't mind AT ALL!

actually if you do it right you can save some $$$ by registering multiple cars...
if you get say.... a 2010 camaro 1SS and then get a $1000 Honda cheapo car and register the Honda as the daily driver with the camaro as an occasional driver, the rates should be pretty cheap...

I wanna see pics! My dogs are spoiled....they're used to putting their heads out the window...etc. My 4DR focus isn't huge in the back but the Camaro is smaller.

Yeah I don't like Dodge much either....I'm leaning towards a Jeep SRT-8....or maybe I'll get nothing...
I don't think I wanna park an SRT-8 or an SS on the street. My Focus gets trashed enough from the sprinkler systems, pollen.....luckily it's a Focus so I don't care.

But kudos those with latest generation V8 Camaro's....lucky bastids!

Seems like the best car for you with the dogs and all would be an Equinox. They're a great vehicle and a few K cheaper than the Camaro. My Camaro is a DD, but I won't allow the dog to step foot in it.
