Advice Needed :)

I'm looking to upgrading my wheels & tires ASAP,

Not sure what is best for me though..

I really want some rims with tires that will provide better than average performance, but still looking half-decent cosmetically.. I was considering some 22" Forged Wheels (because I love the way they look) but I don't want to spend 5k+ on wheels that are likely to slow me down. Does anyone know of any reasonably priced (2-3.5 grand) wheels that are in the market for performance? I'm having trouble finding performance wheels period. I plan to upgrade untill I reach about 450rwhp so I will need some good performing wheels/tires.

I have a 1SS CGM with flat black stripes and would greatly appreciate any reccomendations

Grant

From my experience forged wheels typically retail for anywhere from 3 grand to 8 grand per set. This is without tires. Two and Three piece wheels cost more to manufacture than say a single piece cast wheel.

Cheap
High Quality
Performance based

Pick two.

so much to choose from.. you should go out comparing looks/quality/weight and ones with tires that you want and fit the wheels

Talk to Nineball. I'm sure in his vast library of wheels he can find you something you'd like.

I would agree.

Nineball, IconzWheels, INDpowr, NuTek Wheels are among some of the people I would contact. Give them your budget, let them know what you want, see if it's possible. Forged wheels normally are REALLY expensive. Which is why I don't have any. =(

I feel you on that. Rockin the stock ones for the foreseeable future. Especially until I learn how to park this double-wide without hitting the bleeping curbs

Talk about embarrassing, but at least I'm not doing it to $5000 rims.

haha. Just give yourself an extra foot
I've been parking cars professionally since I was 12 (I'm 26 now). It's second nature to me.

Well if you wanna buy some now, I'll use them and warm them up for you when you're ready to use them.

I went with CCW wheels - 19X10 all around.

Dropped 50 lbs of weight. Performance increased a LOT as the tire has a shorter height and are over an inch wider. You can FEEL the difference. Gearing now feels perfect!

CCW wheels are lower cost than most other forged wheels and look awesome!

No such thing as a cheap 22" wheel that is good quality. Glad to see you at least understand that forged wheels are better. I mean hell, if we all settled for less we'd be driving Mustangs right now

I have a set of 22" Rushforths with Nitto Invo tires in stock here in Houston. My INVO tires hold up just fine on my 675 rwhp car. You said ASAP, right?

Can you give me the specific model?
