Mast VVT Stage II Cam
Anyone go with this cam for your L99 yet? What are your thoughts on it if so? I'm hearing rwhp gains of 70 hp -- that's seems high.

I'm curious also!!
What additional upgrades are required? Stall converter? Dual Springs? Would it be cheaper or safer to do L99 to Ls3 conversion with a cam? |

VVT will make more power than the same cam without VVT. Only real issue is getting rid of the DOD lifters as this requires pulling the head so you can replace the 8 lifters. The other 8 are fine ( stock LS7 units )
Theres good info here http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68888 I'd go for an EPS custom grind though. You get the absolute best tech lobes out there and when you have a custom grind donw it fits your needs and goals EXACTLY rather than an off the shelf cam. Besides its only 25 bucks more |
