Specs on L99 vs LS3 .... - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ok ... I see alot of info on the LS3 ... comparing it to the LS2 ... cam specs, etc. ... but what about the L99?

Do they use the same heads as the LS3? If so, same valve size? Same 1.7 rockers? Exhaust manifolds same, too?

How about intake, injectors and throttle body? Specs? Same as LS3?

Cam specs on L99? Gross lift? Gross duration or duration at .050? Lobe center? Same aftermarket cams for LS3 work in L99 (with new lifters, of course)?

Same block/crank/rods/pistons as LS3?

Sorry if this has already been addressed, or there is a thread about it somewhere ... but all I could find as far as good quality specs only mentioned the LS3 ...

the L99 uses the same block, crank, rods and pistons as the LS3. from my understanding, the only difference between the two is the camshaft.

I believe the LS3 has a slightly better camshaft which is where the extra 26HP comes from over the L99.
