Guys i NEED HELP cannot decide which Intake to get for my 2SS/RS
I want to change the intake to my car but i do not know what to get
i have two in mind 1.) Cold Air Inductions Intake (http://www.coldairinductions.com/car...roducts_id=875) and 2.) ADM HIGHFLOW RACE COLD AIR INTAKE (http://www.admperformance.com/produc...=58&product=92) does anyone have any insight on these two intake systems or maybe you know of a better one? I want to get the best performance and HP out of the intake

I'm very happy with my Halltech intake. But it's all about personal preference. Read up as much as you can about them and make the choice yourself. It's your car and you shouldn't need anyone here to tell you what to do to it. Can't really go wrong with anything that's going to help it breath easier.

I have heard some good things on the adm cai. I have a roto fab and I really like it. I know like 3 or 4 other Camaro drivers who also have a roto fab and are happy with it also. It gives you like 16 rwhp (sry if not correct but you can check online to make sure) and it doesn't throw off any codes or require a tune. Hope this helps.

There was a very good thread that compared several of them months ago. if I recall, the CAI had the best numbers, but not sure if the ADM was in the comparison. Both look nice, but a big price difference. I am leaning toward the CAI myself, but haven't commited either.

Decent CAIs are all about the same - you will generally get 0-5 hp out of one. I did see a dyno with the K&N 63 on a Challenger RT give about 15 hp (before and after). Can't remember what other mods he had though. CAIs are mostly for sound. Generally speaking, if you really want performance increases, you need to add headers and catback (or other exhaust) - more air in, more air out. Maybe even a throttle body. To know what any mod does for your car, you need to dyno test before and after.

C.A.I. here and I like it so far. Never used/heard the ADM so I cannot compare the two but I promise you will be happy with the Cold Air Inductions. Plus it looks cool!

CAI is an important decision when choice performance for you Camaro. Not all CAI's are built the same and give the same performance.
I bought the Fastlane True Cold Air induction because of where the filter is located when its attached. However, since ive put it on it's been a pain for two different tuner's to try and get it just right with my ARH's and Corsa exhaust. Why it's been a pain i dont know (unless my tuner's are just jackass's which is proabably the case). If you do go with Fastlane i suggest letting them tune your PCM so that way it's set-up the way it should be. Here is another instance: I have a buddy of mine (who is also a memeber of C5) who bought a Hennessey CAI. He bought it for the name and not it's functionality. He didnt like it from the day he put it on and neither did his tuner (from NJ). I'm not bashing Hennessey at all, ive never seen their CAI's. Just giving you his opinion. I'm sending my Car to LPE and even though i already have a CAI im going to let the experts use what they want to use in order to get the performance that im looking for out of it. I know they've used Roto-Fab for awhile now and IMO if a company like LPE uses it on their high-end cars and ruputation then it must be a very good product that has been tested to the fullest. Many of us were in the same boat your in when it comes to the right CAI. I hope this helps. Good Luck! |

ADM and CAI I are both great intakes that seem to be putting down similar numbers. At this point I think its more a question of aesthetics. Do you want the bling of the CAI, or the more subdued look of the ADM? Everyone has their own opinion.

We will have one out by the end of may that will give you great performance. It will require a tune but the testers that we have had it on love it.
