Front Bowtie Stolen!
So came out of the movies yesterday and my Front Bowtie was gone. Had to be someone who knew the Heritage Grille and the Bowtie was not securely attached.
Anyways if anyone knows a place to get a stock front bowtie, links would be appreciated. Cheers Scott S. |

They stole.. a BOWTIE?! I had to take the whole damn grille off just to get my bowtie out, along with taking off that plate. How in the world did they steal it...

And so it begins.
![]() I was wondering if this was going to happen. I owned a VW Jetta back in the day, and the front VW emblem was stolen several times a year. Ha Ha. Yeah. Apparently some people take amusement from stealing stuff like that. :(

If you only used retainer clips then it definately could have just fallen off. I wasn't comfortable with that approach so I fabricated a more permanent mount (see below). It may be a bit of overkill, but it's not falling off or getting stolen. When I got my Heritage grille I bought an extra bow-tie from GMPartsDirect.com so I could keep the original with the stock grille. They aren't very expensive.

That's the best thing they could of stolen. The only thing I don't like about mine is that big ugly gold bowtie on the grill. Do your self a favor and get the SS emblem for the center it looks much better.
