My experience with V6 gas mileage, I'm impressed.

I have the LS model running 89 octane gas, stock 18 tires, CAI, and magnaflow axel back performance exhaust. I run 85 miles round trip each day. 70 miles is interstate and I set the cruise at 65, 5 miles at 55 and and the last 10 is city stop and go traffic. My observation via the DIC was as follows:

516.1 miles on one tank of gas
average speed of 51.4 mph
Average mpg 28.5

and as a side note the low fuel warning came on just as the DIC said I had 60 miles of fuel left.

I must say I'm pretty impressed with the mpg given the power the car has. I've had a few 4 cylinder cars that didn't do that well.

I ran it down to fumes! 17.8 gallons to filler up. I think 65's the sweet spot and I used cruise cotrol as much as I could. I have 12,007 miles on the car as of today. By the way its the automatic and I don't use the paddle shifter or sport mode.

Those are good numbers. I can get 27.x to the tank if I really baby it, but my car does not have DI. This is 120 miles a day 110 of it on the highway with cruise either at 60 or 70.

I gotta add this is the first time and first car that I've hit the 500 mile mark on a tank of gas. 450 to 460 has been tops and that was in my HHR.
