What Happen to the Factory Carbon Trim Kit? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Anyone know what happened to the Carbon Trim kit for the interior. I don't see it listed in the options and actually not sure exactly what it consisted of.

I'm going later this week to order my IMO 2SS/RS and am just trying to get my wish list together.

Is this the trim kit that will be different from the huge plastic panels? I don't really care for the large plastic panels. I wonder if they will offer something different panels. Do those light up at night or something? I have no idea about the panels. I haven't had a chance to look at one of the interiors up close but the ones I seen on here don't do a thing for me. PLEASE someone tell me they are going to offer an option to be something different.

As in, carbon fiber interior panels? Is that what you're talking about? I haven't heard of anything like that. If that is the case, however, GM must have realized that such an accoutrement would be totally rice, and cancelled.

This is the carbon trim kit that he is talking about. I know that this pic has an optional victory red interior that supposedly has been canceled ( I'm really hoping they change their mind). Perhaps the carbon trim kit has been canceled too, but I haven't heard any rumors of its cancellation.

There had been one for a while in theory, but no one has seen anything about it except for the above post.

Thanks everyone, I am going with IMO outside and wanted the IO interior but dislike the orange door panel and dash inserts, TOO much orange. Was hoping this gave me another option.

Thought it would look better with the grey standard door/dash insert as in the picture above. Does anyone know whether the ambient lighting will be orange without the orange inserts?

those are accessories so i doubt you would get it standard if you didnt get the ambient lighting.
