dyno done for today.

Went to get the car dyno tuned today and didnt work out like i wanted it to. its a ls3 with kooks headers and airaid intake. i am also running a 3.4 pulley.
The first pull it made 540wrhp but it pulled timing bad. i think it had 12degrees of timing and it pulled 5 degress of that out at 4200rpms. First problem my wife put some cheap gas in it and i didnt know it. second problem was buy time we got started it was 100 degrees out and the humidity was insane. going back next weekend to try again with better fuel and maybe some meth injection. Also we are going to start at 9 am before it gets like a oven.

i really was looking for 575 to 600. i think it will do 575 after we can get some timing in it. the florida heat and humidity just sucks power. i hate the summers here, its like living in a oven. looking at a meth kit right now to get the intake temps down.

who did your tune? Are you running a boost-a-pump? Any belt slip?

yes i am running a boost a pump and no belt slip. Justin with J&J Performance did the tune. Justin was great to deal with. He treated me and my son like gold and spent many hours on my car. He felt bad about the bad fuel problem so he invited me back next weekend for free to try again. i couldnt be happier with his service. i will make sure it has good fuel in it this time. might even have the meth injection on it by then.

are you doing the meth to deacrease the Intake temps to get away from the heatsoak issues with the maggie? What grade fuel you running?

Man its hot here in florida and the intakes get hot. the shop temp was 102 today. The intake temps where 102 start of the pull and in the 140's after the pull. we took the car for a test drive and it was still seeing 102 degree intake temps at 55mph. The meth should get those temps down so we can get some timing in it. justin showed me the chart that shows temps and when it startes to pull timing due to those temps. Every car that was there had meth injection on it.
i am running 93 octane.
