5th Gen Track Day?

Its time we plan a track day in Jersey for the 5th gens. Either English Town, Island Dragway or ATCO.

We can all meet up for a test and tune on a Saturday or better yet rent out the track for a day and bring the families and bbq. If we have enough people its will probably be cheap to rent a track.

Per NHRA guidelines (which apply to all three tracks) any car running a 13.99 et or quicker the driver must wear a Snell 2000 or better approved helmet. I don't know if the tracks rent them so if you wanna drag buy a helmet. Hate to see you drive to jersey for nothing.

Anyone interested post a reply and we will see how many we can get. I'd love to do later this month.

I was just at Englishtown on Friday Night... They do rent helmets but not Snell 2000 rated or better so you need to bring your own or you can by them for $125.00 (Which is what I did) right at the track. A very nice helmet for the price...

It was my first time out so my best time was only a 13.9... and the was without the
Competition Mode I forgot the car had....

This Friday a few friends and I are going to Island Dragway I hope some of you can make it. We have a few grudges to settle theres a Z06, C6 Vette, Saleen Mustang, Twin turbo Caddy CTSV,Lamborghini LP560, and my Kenne Bell blown 2010 Camaro!!!!!!

Track rentals can expensive. e-town is $3000.00 for 1 lane up to 20 street muffled cars & $125.00 each for starter, computer operator, & time slip. Atco is 1 to 10 cars $2000 10to 15 cars $3000.00 plus the price to prep the track. If we did a track rental it would be better in the fall to hot in the summer.

If you run an SS you need to buy a helmet.

There is a thing this Friday $10.00 from 6PM till 10:30 You cant beet that I have a Helmet but I think I might need a cage I dont know what there rules are. If it goes by time or MPH anyone know?? I am not trying to break at the line because my axles arent in yet but I hope for my MPH to be about 130 +

Be careful at Island. I got the boot there in march for going 10.90's. They don't mess around.

I'd be down for a track rental. It's so much better than a t & t.

10:50 or better you need a 6 point roll bar, not a full cage. A full cage comes in below 9 or so but if you get a rental at any of those tracks I would be in. I was at Island and a guy with a corvette did sub 10"50's several times before they kicked him out, I guess it all depends.
