I was quoted 750 (with remote start) and 350ish without remote start. Mine cracked. Few weeks ago after being pelted with a rock. Still looking for better deals

So both you guys are trying to get HUD windshields right??

I have Allstate and in FL there is no deductible and you can get a new windshield freely replaced. Not sure if that is like that in other states. Had my F150's replaced twice for free.

Why would the remote start have an affect on the price of a windshield?

Did mine, had a deductible thru insurance so it was cheap ($50). I asked how much without and was told around 400.

I guess the antenna for the remote start is inside or connected to the windshield. Just guessing... And no HUD for me... Got my baby in July of 09... She already turned 1 yr old :-(

In KY, there is no deductible for any auto glass failure or damage. Had my 99 Z28 windshield replaced in an hour for free with a phone call to State Farm.

Hey, i just had mine pelted with a rock yesterday and it was just a chip but when i called to get it filled with resin the guy had me check it again to measure it and it had become a 3'' crack. He checked for a replacement cost and told me 600 installed ! He then said to wait another 6 mo or so to see if prices come down because it is a new model car. He said driving it around should'nt be a problem. Mine is cracked at the driver side corner by the insp sticker so you don't see it.

if it doesn't bother you to look at the crack, id say ride it til you need a new inspection tag... check with your insurance if you don't know your comp deductible... anything from $250 on down you can save some money...
