my husband & i been talking back & forth (texting) while hes at work.
but he doesnt allow me to respond to his text before it texts me again (or 3 to 4 times) its driving me nuts that I am trying to text him & hes texting me back asking stuff or telling me to do it.

What pet peeves do you have while dealing with cell phone
Other than people driving while texting & talking lol

It's aggravating when someone texts you to see what you're doing and then takes forever to respond after you answer them.

I sometimes find myself carrying on more than one conversation while texting. It gets confusing after awhile and I usually end up just calling the person!

People talking on their cell phone while taking a leak or a crap.

Turn the darn thing off and call back.

Is every moment of your life that critical that you need to talk while relieving yourself???????

Whe he gets home, throw the phone at him... pretty soon he'll learn not to text you!
It may take him several days in a row, but pretty soon it will stick.
It will soon be like old times with him calling you instead.

Because texting doesn't set off an alarm in someone's pocket, demanding that they communicate with you RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND. Texts are much less of an imposition, IMO. You can choose when to reply, and the pace of the conversation doesn't require your full attention.

In the case of the OP, it's clear that a phone call would be a better way to communicate if her husband is expecting immediate replies. But I appreciate being able to 'talk' to people all day, without having to give them my full instantaneous attention by having a phone conversation.

I'm annoyed by people that text or call me while I'm working and it's not an emergency.
