Hi all,

First post but I feel like I already know a lot of you. I've been coming here just about every day since January! I've learned a lot about the Camaro from reading the posts here. I've poured over countless threads and it's been great.

But since I just ordered a 2011 Camaro 2LT RS in beautiful CGM, I thought it was time to join.

A little about me:

Pretty soon I'll be saying goodbye to my '08 Silverado Z71 and hello to the coolest looking car ever. Needless to say I'm freaking excited and feel like this

I've been looking for what would be my next car since January and quickly set my sights on the new Camaro. I'm 24 so I can't say I appreciate the Camaro's rich heritage the same way some of you others can, but I certainly respect it. I picked up the book "Camaro - A Legend Reborn" written by Larry Edsall and have learned a lot.

I think this is the best looking car I've ever seen and after test driving it, I was sold on it's performance and comfort too. I test drove it a few more times, as well as the V8 and decided after all things considered, the V6 was the right car for me.

I had a hell of a time settling on a colour, I considered Black, VR, SW, and CGM. I went to a Camaro show in June to see them in person because the pictures don't always do them justice. I thought long and hard, carefully making my decision, but after seeing CGM in person and driving down the road past me, I was sold.

I went to the dealer today to officially order my Camaro 2LT. I got the RS package, no sunroof (I'm 6'1" and need the headroom

), and no GFX. It's the exact car I want. So now I have to hurry up and wait for the Oshawa build team to make my car. I'm already in agony and just want it.

Sorry for rambling on but I'm really excited.

Anyways, I look forward to chatting about all things C5 with you all. And of course as soon as I get my car, I'll post pics!

They didn't have a 2LT/RS anywhere in your state? Or you were really wanting one built?

There aren't very many with the manual transmission around here and more importantly, getting one built was $2000 cheaper. Not to mention I get exactly what I want and no one will have ever driven it. I can wait.

I'm super pumped for the HUD. Guess I'll have to go and get an iPhone! Pics will be forthwith once I have her.

Welcome to the forums! This is my very first Camaro as well, I got the 2011 2LT R/S with sunroof, RJT, HUD, V-6 & 6 speed manual. I know of some history & facts, but not like some other people do. It took 8 weeks to get my car made, and a couple more weeks to get back in town to take delivery. It should take a good 6 weeks for you I believe. It's pretty cool we both seemed to think long and hard as to what we wanted. Believe me, you will never want to sell or trade this car when you get it it's well worth the wait. Anytime you drive your new Camaro, you will have a smile on your face, I know I did! My dealer told me it's a chick magnet, I think he's right. Enjoy!!
