Trunk Lid liner help

I sound proofed my trunk, but when I try to remove the liner from the trunk lid the pins get all messed up, is there a special way to pull them out or do I need to buy new pins to replace what I remove, if so does anyone have the part number?

Trunk trim retainer, p/n 11589289

They list for 3 bucks and change each from GM.

No. They are made to be used only one time. You may get 2-3 out of them.

Pulled mine out really slowly using an upholstery puller tool, used a block as I went to keep the height and pulling force perpendicular, and didn't ruin any.

I have the tool redleader posted and used it when installing my Havoc spoiler. If you are careful you should be ok.
