AFM/DOD delete and emissions testing
I presently have AFM tuned out and I'm considering a full DOD delete. Those goofy AFM lifters seem like a long term reliability concern.
Is this modification something that a California emissions shop could detect? I think the AFM/DOD is more fuel economy then emissions related, right? What about a mild cam? |

Turning it off shouldn't have any affect on the testing.

You can delete DOD no problem, but dont get rid of VVT!! We have VVT L99 camshafts coming very soon & they will make more peak & low end power compared to non-vvt camshafts!

Thanks. I've been following some of the VVT discussions and it looks real interesting. This will be a winter project so there is some time to see what vendors come up with to support VVT.
