The reason people hate the whale is.
dodge appears to have made little effort to make the thing go fast. its lack of styling. bulk. and its overpriced, undergarnished interiors, with Gauges that dont work. |

That was a great motor. I recall seeing a cop dash video of a GMC typhone running from a robbery. Speeds of over 110 mph and when the finally stopped him they found the 1000lb safe snuggly in the back. |

The 2 rear pics look identical except the camaro looks like a bad attempt to mimic the vette lights. IMO I would buy a camaro right now if they went with the 71 lights? not sure the year but it looked like 3 square lights all in one line on each side. |

B. The styling is amazing and far superior to the camaro IMO. C. It is fat and unfortunately for you camaro hopefuls the camaro is pretty much almost as fat at 3914 a 224 lb difference. D. It is overpriced and interior is bland, seats are great and gauges work perfectly( what you said sounded a bit fanboyish ) The only thing didge messed up on was the transmission If they would have put a 6 speed auto with performance gearing(which they did with the manual) this car would be must faster than it is. Although it is already fast. Oh and it needed to lose some pounds off of the charger. But some light 18s and some other stuff should take car of that inconvenience. |

And I Dont find that much resemblence to the Vette tailights. The Vettes are round and Camaro has a rectangle look still. Just the bottoms have a curve and they have a chrome bezil. It is more like they took the rectangle look lights and modernized them a little. And IMHO if they had used the 69's then the Mustang guys would be yelling that they were trying to copy the Mustang tail lights. That was a major point in the last Mustang that the tail lights were retro of the originals.

Ok guys...that's enough.
Don't make me start deleting posts. Thanks! Kevin, if tail lights are the only things holding you back from purchasing a car, change them....aftermarket. Don't miss out on the comeback of the Camaro just because of one thing. That would not be right. Now, again....no more back and forth. |
