Does anybody know the paint code for the red panted on the SS badge on our 2SS Camaros?

I thought I read somewhere that the color in the SS emblems is vinyl.

FYI, the SS is red if it's an SS with a RS package.. A "2"SS has nothing to do with it, hence you could have a "1"SS with a red SS on it. I just want you to know what you're talking about. There I've done my good deed of the day.

They're just vinyls over the SS badges HOWEVER I will say that a color I have found that matches very close to the color of the SS badges (with the RS package so that the emblems are red) is a color that can be bought at your local Kragen or Autozone etc. that is made by Duplicolor called "Cardinal Red". It is almost identical in color IMO and can be bought for $4 a can.

The "SS" badges white or red have vinyl tape and it's probably close to victory red for the red "SS" signifying an RS package... You can peel the the tape off and have the chrome look.

I have the 2SS with the RS package . . . ergo, the red SS emblem.

Why my question?

We have a black 2SS 6M (w/RS package). Wife wants red rally stripes painted on . . . to look exactly like the stock vinyl rally stripes (limited to the hood and trunk deck, painted to look stock) on the 2010 2SS. Of course there are aftermarket vinyl kits, but she wants paint . . . . only concession in for me to leave in black "LS3" on each side of the cowling . . . no stickers . . . so . . .

I suggested a 67 Corvette rally red . . . she suggested matching the red SS emblem on the car instead. So, she may win!
