Toy, how fast were you allowed to go and when is this? I've gone on the Talladega Motorspeedway on my motorcycle for the March of Dimes and they only allowed us to go about 70mph.

The benefit was last October.
The official information stated to stay between 60 & 80MPH. I heard some people may have reached higher speeds, much faster than you can drive legally on the street.... Ummmmm.... let's just leave it like that

I did the Corvette event at Atlanta in 2006, back when I had my 05 C6. Good to see they're still doing it. When I did it, there was no official guidance other than no passing and stay behind the pace car. That being said, the pace car was going about 80 and we were so spread out that we could go significantly faster...

Sounds great!!! Do y'all meet up before you go or just show up over there about the same time? I don't think I will be "racing" yet but I would love to come out to Holt and meet some of you!

May 5-8 Event around Fort Walton - Pensacola

Yes - Mother's Day is May 8th -- Wanted to tell everyone about a cruising event along the Emerald Coast: www.burningupthebeaches.com

Ad states it's open to all cars, registration is $50 with prize money totalling $5,000 paid out. Most judging is for 50-60-70's year cars, but might be a nice event to just show up at or participate. Be sure to check out the various locations that include a lot of us Emerald Coast Camaro members.

Hope to maybe see some of you there! Take care - LarryB.

Definitely can't do all three days, but the dyno-racing looks pretty cool. Kind of like a two-fer!!!

Has anyone been hitting any Love Bugs in their travels? It's getting kinda late in the spring for them to show up.
